Currently, ASU has three transfer visitors on campus
6-4 220 lbs. Nebraska QB Jeff Sims. Interesting contrast in stats where in his first three seasons at Georgia Tech threw for 4,464 yards, 31 touchdowns, and got picked of 29 times. Also rushed for 11 TDs during that period. Then, last year at Nebraska struggled quite a bit, 28-47, 282 yards, One TD, and six INTs, they also had a rushing touchdown. I don't know if pursuing such a QB is an indicator of how shallow the supply is, and who knows if there isn't a feasible and better opportunity for a QB with the portal open for seven more days.
Texas DE J'Mond Tapp is a 6-3 266 lbs. player who, as a redshirt freshman last year, posted eight tackles, 1.5 for loss in seven games. ASU had the need for a bigger frame pass rusher once Anthonie Cooper got injured, and Tapp can fill that void. Having two years of eligibility is definitely a good selling point here.
6-5 245 lbs. Tight end Chamon Metayer played in 17 games over three seasons for Cincinnati, tallying 24 receptions for 290 yards and five touchdowns. Transferred to Colorado in December and, for whatever reason, entered the portal again. Another two years of eligibility player.
