…that can be potential hires on defense
A name mentioned earlier is Donnie Henderson who coached the ASU defensive backs between 1992-97 and from 1999-2008 and for a good portion of this decade was coaching defensive backs in the NFL. He did coach one year with Herm Edwards with the New York Jets so there is the connection between the two.
Henderson appears to be a candidate (perhaps even the leading candidate) for the defensive coordinator job at ASU and would probably coach the defensive backs as well.
As far as defensive line coach goes two really interesting names are being mentioned:
Mike Singletary legendary Chicago Bears linebacker and Super Bowl champion and also a 10-time Pro Bowl selection. Coached in the NFL from 2003-16 including two-plus year as the San Francisco 49ers coach.
The other candidate defensive line coach is Bryan Cox. A three-time Pro Bowl selection and a Super Bowl champion. Coached in the NFL from 2006-16.
I still see Antonio Pierce being the linebackers coach on the staff
Kelvin Fisher who was a fullback on the ASU football team from 1988-91, and for the last four years the Buffalo Bills Director of College Scouting could be joining the program in a support role with Jean Boyd and Scottie Graham.
