When was the last time you felt this proud to be a Sun Devil?

When Kenny Dillingham was asked last season what success looked like for him at ASU he answered something to the effect of "It looks like hundreds of former players coming back here on game days, bringing their families to our games, being proud to tell people they are part of building this".

Last night we saw Jake Plummer and DJ Foster on the ASU sideline. In my estimation those were the faces of the Snyder era and the Graham era. They were architects of 19-0 and the beat down of Notre Dame. From what I can tell Jake has turned into a peace, love, harmony guy but last night as our Sun Devils battled you could see that Sun Devil passion flowing through his veins and I have no doubt that he felt something special when Skat took on a 335 pound DT at the 2 yard line and stood him up long enough for #77 Kyle Scott to grab the RB and the entire weight of the program and suplex him into the end zone!

In the post game presser as I listened to Skat talk about ASU is there any doubt that he will follow in Jake's footsteps and play on Sundays and be part of ASU for years to come? As I listened to Leavitt hold back the tears and then announce he's coming back, is there any doubt that he will follow in those footsteps as well? Does anyone doubt that TB16 is a Sun Devil for life?

For the tens of thousands of ASU fans that made the trip to Atlanta, you represented ASU so well. You gave em hell and I have no doubt that you left that stadium proud as hell.

We've had flashes over the years but I haven't felt this proud to be a Sun Devil since Murph was taking those scrappy teams to Omaha or Jake Plummer was diving head first into end zones. I have a feeling a lot of people feel the same way. Teams like this team and how proud they make us help move that number of former players coming back with their families from 2 to 16 to 42 to 48 to 62 to 77 to 100+ players coming back and helping make this place special.
