The former FSU WR made national news in 2016 when he went to volunteer at a school and ended up eating lunch with a kid who was sitting alone and had autism. The image was even more striking because Rudolph is black and the kid has red hair. As a country we've been hungry for those stories that unify us I think.
This last week Rudolph was charged with first degree murder after he beat his girlfriend and then shot and killed a man that came to "talk" to him about it.
It is such a conflicting story and one that is difficult to work through. I guess it illustrates the complexity of a person.
