Jarryn Skeete, a former University of Buffalo player whom Bobby Hurley coached for two years, has been hired as ASU's special assistant in charge of recruiting, analytics, and personnel. He replaces former ASU player Mickey Mitchell who is still on staff, and is now Director of Operations.

The hire of Skeete, which will be officially announced in a matter of a week or two, is significant because of his ties to 2024 Four-Star forward and Top-100 prospect Amier Ali, and it was just announced today that Ali will visit ASU in two weeks and has the Sun Devils on a short list. The tweet below could carry some significance, and if Ali comes to ASU, then needless to say, this new staff hire had a lot to do with it.

So just a heads up in case Ali does commit to ASU.
