Let's take a look at the PAC after week 2:
1. USC- They went up to the Furd and chopped the tree down. Their offense is scary good and the have a legit QB1 in Williams. However, their defense is still a huge question mark. The Furd fumbled inside the red zone twice so the final score looks very deceiving. They are 1-0 in the PAC off to a good start.
2. WSU- Went into Camp Randall and got a W over a ranked Wisky team. They play really really good defense sound in their assignments and force turnovers. However, their offense still a work in progress the Ward kid threw 2 INTS and like I said earlier they are up and down last week was down this week up.
3. OSU- Look what happens when a coach plays to win rather than not to lose. Smith and his staff are good on all fronts went into Fresno and won a last second TD. This team looks like a force glad we get them in SDS and late in the year.
4. Utah- Got the bounce back game against Southern Utah. Looked good on both sides of the ball will win this week against SDSU and will be 2-1 coming into SDS. Well coached and well disciplined gonna be tough for ASU.
5. UW- Here by default looked good against sub-par competition. We will see what they are made of after this week against Michigan State. I do like Deboer and his staff.
6. UCLA- Again here by default till they play someone with a pulse. Offense is good but their defense still a question mark till they play someone with an offensive pulse.
7. CAL- Really struggled against UC Davis and UNLV. They get to go to south bend and play a desperate Norte Dame team. Let's see what CAL has this week in a week 3 prove it game.
8. Oregon- Sorry beating Eastern Washington does nothing to lessen the string UGA put on them have a redemption game against BYU this week. How many Picks will Mo eerrr Bo Nix have??
9. ASU- Awww my poor Devils so much talent so little coaching looking at you Herman. Went into OSU and could have pulled out a W. But conservative coaching gets you a loss examples 4th and 1 and you punt in the first half. Down 17-10 facing a third and 6 deep in OSU territory you should have 2 downs to get a first down mentality instead you trot a true freshman kicker out in bad weather to kick a long field goal. One more tune up before the PAC gauntlet begins.
10. Stanford- They were their won worst enemies this week. Fumbled and stumbled their way to a loss. David Shaw's run is over. They get a really early bye week before facing UW.
11. U4- Came crashing down to earth this week. Gunslingers look great when everything is clicking but look really bad when it isn't case in point De Laura looked really bad Sat night and Los Ratas faced a SEC team with a offensive mastermind in Leach. If it weren't for some errors by MSU that game would have been a bigger blowout than it was. They do play hard though.
12. Colorado- The Buffs just need to clean house ala Nebraska they do very little right and have little to no talent. They may not win a game this year.
My Diamond player of the week goes to Elijah Badger 6 Catches 91 Yards and 1 TD now we have a go to WR let's hope Herman doesn't just want him to block for the rest of the year.
