I noticed that Manny is always chewing on his mouth guard or has it hanging out the side of his mouth. If fact, I've never seen him actually have it in his mouth no matter the situation. Then he takes a hit like the one below and you can see he is still chewing on it. Does anyone know why he has one if it is never used? I also saw Christian Sam with his mouth guard hanging from the bottom of his facemask for virtually the entire game. It's weird to me and seems like it would be distracting.
