The CFP ranking tonight is as big a sham as I've ever seen. The committee not only extended too much credit for every 1-loss SEC team, it laughably ranked the highest 2-loss and 3-loss teams also from the SEC. This is by design and intended to fluff up the quality of the conference and to protect it.
You'll also notice they have perfectly positioned 2 teams from the SEC to get in. And they'll make damn sure they don't face each other in the 1st round in order to have another all-sec final.
Look at where they placed Georgia. If ND and Michigan lose - which is very likely - the Bulldogs will slip into the final even with 2 losses.
And look where they positioned the best team - IMO - Oklahoma. Right behind Georgia because they do not want the Big12 in. They've screwed it over as many times as the Pac12.
I just checked and Georgia has only one quality win over Florida - last weekend - and a beat down loss to LSU. Yet, it's ranked 6!
And of course there is no pathway for WSU. We'll be told that it's due to their SOS while completely ignoring that variable for every SEC team.
