After watching most of last nights half empty championship game, it is evident something has to change. What would be the things you would do to help the PAC 12 out of the rut? Here is what I would start with:
1) Market the PAC 12 to our market, we have half of the population of the US...don’t try to sell PAC 12 sports to the east coast, sell it to the ones that are in your back yard.
2) bring back the home field advantage for the PAC 12 championship games
3) eleinnate the emphasis on Olympic sports and put them on baseball, basketball, football, and softball...and that is it, maybe hockey...those are the only sports that can possibly get tv revenue
4) develop a home and home schedule with either the Big Ten or SEC similar to the Big Ten ACC challenge...and get some of those games on the PAC 12 network so other markets have to buy P12 Network to get their game - this would work best if in football, but much more difficult, start with basketball and baseball
