Devils sweep Texas Tech in another high scoring matchup

“The other aspects of the game weren’t as sharp, so the offense needed to swing the sticks tonight and pick us up a little bit.” With early game struggles on the mound, it was time once again for ASU's red-hot bats to show their teeth in victory

STORY: Devils stay hot in beatdown of Texas Tech

“I’m letting those boys swing the bat.” After spotting Texas Tech three runs in the first frame, ASU piles on at the plate, outscoring the Red Raiders 21-2 the rest of the way in a run-rule victory against its future Big 12 foe

Fourth Top-75 California prospect pledge in ASU's 2025 class. “I like the culture of the program, and I know they have a bright future. I want to be a part of the rebuild.”

STORY: Graham Rossini poised to be hired as ASU’s Athletic Director

He does have extensive experience in the sports corporate world, especially when it comes to financial projects. But the biggest question is, will he be Crow's puppet because we know what happens in that scenario...

Robbins: Layoffs and Ticket Hikes Coming to UA Athletics

That's the front page Daily Star headline in today's newspaper...

He says there will be layoffs of employees in the AU athletic dept and that season ticket prices will increase by 25% for both football and basketball...

All other Wildcat sports tickets will see increases as well...

As mentioned previously, AU athletics owes the university about $87 million in loans taken out in the recent past and the athletic dept has not paid back any of the loans so far...

Robbins added that they will now be using a different financial model for the university since it's become clear that they have over-invested in some colleges and units that have over spent...

I guess the new model will dictate that you cannot spend more than you make...

What a concept, huh...;)

Welcome to the real world...:)

Of course, most colleges and universities live in the real world and don't have a bunch of bureaucratic bloat in place everywhere you look, right..??

It will be interesting to see what happens when the state's universities meet with the ABOR in mid-December to talk about such things...

Hopefully, ASU will not have the same financial mismanagement story to tell at that time...Go Devils!!!

A 2025 Prospect to keep in mind

I'm very tempted to forecast this running back to ASU becasue the fact that he's giving out good vibes to the team even after his visit to Oklahoma State, which just took place the other week, is definitely a good sign. I still think he should visit SMU and Kansas before making a decision. But right now this is trending ASU's way and he's way up the recruiting board for the Sun Devils.

OCT 19 @ CINCINNATI - LODGING TOUGH

Does anyone know if ASU/Sun Devil Club reserve rooms at hotels for "away" football games for ASU fans? The reason I ask is that hotel rooms in Cincy are very difficult to come by or are priced over $300 a night, if you can find one. There is some kind of a BIG Arts Festival (Blink Art) at that time. For me, not as big as issue, since I'm driving from Maryland and can easily stay outside of Cincy. But, if you are flying in....well, it could be challenging. GO SUN DEVILS
