ARLINGTON, Tex. - Saturday afternoon was anything but the typical white knuckle ASU win we were accustomed to this year, but rather completing the last-to-first journey in the Big 12, leaving no doubt. Justin LaCertosa and I analyze ASU's 45-19 win over Iowa State

Sacks Allowed

Kinda thinking this may be an issue this season (although Leavitt’s mobility and Arroyo’s adapting to Leavitt’s strengths should help that quite a bit)

Vs Wyoming:

1)nothing fancy just a speed rush by a Wyoming WALK-ON that may not have been touched by Iheanachor

2)inside rush by 6’2” 245 Wyoming DE Siders who may not have even been touched by Atkins

ASU only attempted 22 passes which would have been the fewest of any game in 2023 so expect more opportunities for sacks allowed

Travel to Peach Bowl

Many of you have already possibly looked into travel to the game, and flights to ATL shot up pretty dramatically. I booked a flight in BHM, rented a car to drive into ATL, and then dropping it off at the ATL airport, and then Ubering to my hotel. I land in BHM at about 8:00AM on the 31st, so if anyone else is going that route, and wants to carpool into ATL, let me know. For the trip back I'm taking a shuttle from ATL to BHM.

Newcomer Report: Territorial Cup Game

The Territorial Cup is back in Tempe, as Arizona State defeated in-state rivals Arizona 49-7, sitting atop the Big 12 conference with its place in the Big 12 Championship game booked. A heap of newcomers was able to leave their mark on Saturday’s resounding victory. Here’s our report on their performances.

Does ASU already know some of the guys they are getting in the portal at this time?

And if so, any idea how many or what what percentage? For example, if some local guys what to come home, they could reach out to their high school and gauge interest and communicate through secondary channels. Or if there are other common connections maybe there could be some communication. Doubt if ASU football is totally blind to what they could or will probably get.

STORY: Players return to practice motivated for CFP preparations

“They were all in the meeting room like 11 or 12 minutes early. That was a sign that they were hungry to get back here." The inevitable rust of a nine-day layoff was evident on Monday but was balanced by a high energy level exhibited by the Sun Devil players
