If this is as good as it gets.. are we happy with that?

GM from the AZ Republic posted another one of his trollbait articles and yours truly could not resist and decided to take a read.

All season he has been moving the goal posts on ASU football.. and why not? Most seasons if you do that, ASU will eventually falter and he can be right. He's defended Herm as recently as October of this year and blamed the ASU faithful for the scandal.. not herm .. which really disqualifies GM as a man of integrity.

But in his most recent tirade of negative views on ASU.. he does make a statement that got me thinking.

He believes this is as good as it's going to get for ASU.. so we should enjoy it. Now.. he does state that ASU has no chance of winning the B12 at all.. which again.. just a critical thinker should know.. they have a chance.

Let's say though..if ASUs ceiling, in the current landscape of college football is winning the big 12.. and winning at most 1 CFP game.. are we okay with that?

I for one.. do think that is our ceiling. And I am also.. content with that. Is everyone else?

If ASU can regularly compete for the B12 title and on occasion make an appearance in the CFP.. I am a floored Sun Devil.

I think the ultimate test of this fanbase is going to come when we win just 7 games for maybe a 2 year stretch. Will we want to run KD out of town?

We won a bunch of 1 score games this year.. I think it's fair to think .. in a 10 year stretch.. those 1 score games will not break as nicely for us every year as they did this year.

So I'm curious what everyone's else's stance is on where expectations for the program need to be for us to be content?
